General Overview Catherine considers herself a dedicated, loyal and caring physician, Starfleet Officer, friend, mother and wife. While she has spent many years as a First Officer, her passion has always been helping people and helping them stay alive and healthy. She’s been known to put her patients lives and her career before her own.

Her time teaching up and coming physicians at Starfleet Academy was a high point in her very long career. During that time Catherine gave birth to her son Barry which has always been the best thing that has happened in the last hundred years.
Strengths & Weaknesses Doctor Herrington has a top notch bedside manner and is an excellent physician. Catherine prides herself in staying on top of the latest in Starfleet medical research and procedures. As a physician and scientist Catherine continues her own research and experiments when time allows.

Commander Herrington possesses the general knowledge to complete her training when she was younger and to pass command courses, but lacks expertise and experience in most things engineering related.
Ambitions Commander Herrington would be willing to command a dedicated hospital ship but has turned down the opportunity to sit in the center seat multiple times.

Personal History As a Lanthanite Catherine Herrington has lived a long and fruitful life. Fruitful in experience and knowledge from her four hundred plus years on Earth, where she was born and raised. Which presented a challenge in its self. Having to move often and keep secrets about her species and age, often having to give up close friends and loved ones.

Spending time in Earths military as a medic and watching things change from year to year was some of the best memories from her early life. Once she retired from the armed forces she started her journey to become a physician and was quite successful. Experiencing both happy and horrible times throughout the history of mankind, often tangled into the odd or interesting moments. Being present for many tragedies, as a physician she witnessed first hand the horrific things that could happen to the body.

However once the time of space exploration came along she found herself intrigued and continued her training as a doctor to continue to be present in all that occurred. she was there for the birth of the Federation and formation of Starfleet. Loyal and dedicated to the Federation and her people from its formation and its many trials and tribulations.


She took breaks here and there but over the last one hundred years she was present; putting on a fresh uniform and her comm badge every day. The Lanthanite evem witnessed all the changes in Starfleet from advances in medical technology to that of starships. Watching as wars broke out this time in space rather the on the soil of Esrth.

With her long lifespan and vast experience in both the medical and command branches Commander Catherine Herrington was approached by an admiral who wanted her to join a special project. Given some of the strange and unexpected cases the Commander had witnessed in her time with Starfleet and beyond, the admiral recruited Catherine into Project 14. She would join the USS Balam as First Officer, asked to help guide the projects Commanding Officer and be a resource for the Commander in charge of the Balam.
