Physical Description		Giovanni Spiritelli is shorter than most of his shipmates, with a compact, slightly wiry build that reflects long hours spent in labs rather than the gym. His curly brown hair is often a bit unruly, rarely staying in perfect regulation no matter how hard he tries, and his bright blue eyes are constantly lighting up when he’s deep into a technical problem. His uniform is usually a mess as he tends to pick up small signs of his work: smudges, tool marks, or the occasional hurried adjustment mid-shift. He carries himself with a mix of nervous energy and curiosity, often fidgeting. He does not stay idle.

General Overview

Although Giovanni is a brilliant and enthusiastic technical prodigy, he is also incredibly anxious and mildly neurotic. He has the kind of mind that can reconfigure a sensor array in minutes but will absolutely jump if a door opens unexpectedly behind him. Much like a younger, more excitable version of a seasoned engineer, he thrives in controlled environments where he can build, modify, and experiment. Giovanni much prefers the safety of a laboratory or workshop than being on an away team. Overall, He has an upbeat, talkative streak when discussing technology, often thinking out loud and pulling others into rapid-fire explanations of his latest idea... some of them are a bit out there. He is also known for being a bit of a conspiracy theorist and is a frequent flyer through the doors of sickbay for being a self-diagnosing hypochondriac. However, when faced with the kind of phenomena the Balam investigates, his confidence falters quickly. He prefers to understand danger from behind a console, not face it directly in a dark corridor. His nickname, “Goosebumps,” comes from his tendency to visibly react to anything even slightly unsettling or strange readings, unexplained noises, or stories from away teams. Despite this, he doesn’t shy away from his duties; he just approaches them with a mix of humor, caution, and a healthy dose of nerves.
